Juniors Soccer Program Professionally Run

"The ALBION SC Juniors program is an incredible foundation to our club as we truly believe in fostering a proper environment for a young player to fall in love with the game. The ALBION Junior program is often the first experience for our community members, so we take pride in providing what we hope is a great first experience with our staff and volunteer players. We are excited to partner with MLS Go to help foster and grow the entry level game for our community.  MLS Go will create a great experience for our players and families with jerseys to represent their favorite MLS teams along with a ticket to experience an MLS game.  This is a great way to introduce the game to our kids"

What to look for in a Juniors Soccer Program

When searching for a developmental program for your player, one of the most critical components is finding an organization with a sound philosophy for developing technical and tactical skills that are age appropriate. It is also important to find a coaching staff that has the knowledge and expertise to work with the younger player. An appropriate training program that places your player in a training environment that ensures fun and proper fundamental development is also very important.

Our Recreation Program

ALBION Juniors (formerly RCFC Junior Academy) is the official recreational program for ALBION SC Riverside. ALBION Juniors and MLS GO serves as an introductory path for elementary aged players. We are committed to providing a fun, educational, and progressive experience for your youth soccer players. Not only are we committed to our youth players, but we also have a wonderful comprehensive coaching education curriculum and mentorship program specifically for ALBION Juniors. There are no tryouts for ALBION Juniors. It is recommended for all girls and boys, grades K-4, who have the desire to learn and grow through the game of soccer.

Our ALBION Juniors Players will learn:

  • SOCIAL: Grasp essential life lessons such as respecting their teammates and coaches, the significance of listening during instruction, and the importance of teamwork.
  • PHYSICAL: Develop motor skills, balance, flexibility, and agility.
  • PSYCHOLOGICAL: Be motivated and inspired by soccer through this encouraging and fun environment.
  • TECHNICAL: Understand the fundamental rules of the sport

Teams are divided by grade in school and are coached by volunteer coaches. We offer a Fall, Winter and a Spring league. Our recreational program is played locally, in and around the Riverside area.  

Practices will start the week of March 24th, 2025 and end on May 3rd, 2025. Training sessions will be 1-hour sessions held on Tuesdays at Don Derr Park, 3003 Monroe Street, Riverside, Ca 92504 and 30-minute games on Saturday mornings at  Gage Middle School, 6400 Lincoln Avenue, Riverside, Ca 92506

7 total sessions + 5 games

DATES:

Week 1: April 1st and 3rd training

Week 2: April 8th training and April 12th match day

Week 3: April 15th training and April 19th match day

Week 4: April 22nd training and April 26th match day

Week 5: April 29th training and May 3rd match day

Week 6: May 6th training and May 10th match day

 

Program Overview

ALBION Juniors MLS Go is a developmental program designed to give your child the opportunity to build a solid foundation in technical development in the very early years of playing while enjoying the game of soccer. We are committed to providing a fun, educational, and progressive experience for your youth soccer players.  Each session will include small-sided games to ensure a fun experience and no weekend games!

 

Program Details

Practice days and times will be 6:00-7:00 p.m. at Don Derr Park, 3003 Monroe Street, Riverside, Ca 92503.

The training will take place on the grass field next to the stadium field.  Please park on the Jackson Street parking next to the baseball and softball fields.

 

Match days will take place on Saturday mornings at Matthew Gage Middle School, 6400 Lincoln Avenue, Riverside, Ca 92506
